Millwork
Sierra Pacific is one of the nation's leading manufacturers of moulding and millwork. This division utilizes a portion of the lumber produced from Sierra Pacific’s forestland resources. This “value added” approach through vertical integration of products has contributed to Sierra Pacific’s reputation of commitment, quality and stability. A variety of products are manufactured to serve several different markets.
Some of these products include:
- Stiles, rails and jambs for the steel door industry
- Panels, stiles and rails for the wood door manufacturer
- Cut-to-length components used in the manufacturing of wood windows
- Clear or finger jointed items for export to European and Asian markets
- Window frames, window sash parts and glazed sash
- Traditional mouldings and millwork for interior trim throughout North America
Sierra Pacific’s unique planning and organization beginning with a seedling in the forest and ending with the final product has enhanced the company’s ability to serve valued customers.
Remanufacturing
Sierra Pacific's Central Distribution Center in Richfield, California, uses state-of-the-art equipment to provide quality assurance for all of our precision wood products.
After sawmill operators break down a log into its approximate final dimensions, selected rough dried lumber is shipped to Richfield where it is surfaced or "run to a pattern." Literally hundreds of standard patterns are available to meet our customers' specific needs. Custom patterns are also available.
Random length packages with a "mix and match" program can provide customers with random lengths, offering the flexibility to ship 1 x 2 through 2 x 12 lumber on the same truck. Eight-head Weinig moulders are utilized to produce millwork to exacting specifications with a precision finish.
