Sierra Pacific Windows, a major wood window and door manufacturer with manufacturing facilities located in California and Wisconsin, has an opening for a manufacturing engineer. This position provides opportunity to work within a top-notch team involving production, product development, customer service and sales personnel. How To Apply
About The Position
• Provide engineering support for manufacturing processes, including:
o Implement process optimization initiatives
o Integrate best processes across multiple manufacturing facilities
o Design and procure fixtures, jigs and tooling
o Design and implement lean manufacturing applications
o Create production layout designs
o Enhance efficiency of material handling operations and infrastructure
• Implement and maintain the engineering/ production change notice (EPCN) system for production/ process changes
• Work with design engineering and production to optimize window and door manufacturing methods and systems.
• Engineering degree preferred (mechanical, manufacturing or related technical; 2 or 4 year)
• 2 years’ experience in manufacturing/process engineering discipline with preference given to experience in fenestration industry
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
